A new bill proposes creating a Multifamily Housing Innovation Council to study and develope guidance on a multifamily dwelling up to six stories to be served by a single stairway.
This bill only starts the committee process and does not make immediate code changes, but it could impact future building safety and fire protection standards. Please read further into this bill for more details.
